Be Sure That:
  • you answer the querstion that is asked and stay on target.
  • you answer all parts of the question.
  • you include details and example sfrom the selection to support your viewpoint.
  • when you use your own ideas, they have something to do with the selection.
  • when you comapre two characters, ask how they are alike and how they are different.
  • when you are aksed what your viewpoint is, state it clearly at the beginning of the anwer. Then convince your audience by using supporting information.
  • when you are asked to pretend you are someone in a story, write as though you are that person.

Be sure that you do NOT:
  • answer with just a sentence or two.
